A Portuguese delegation, led by ABIMOTA, attended the Shimano Fest and the Brazil Cycle Fair, which took place in São Paulo.

This presence is part of the Portugal Bike Value II Project, which aims to promote the national two-wheeler sector across borders, promoting the quality of the national product and attracting foreign investment to Portugal.

Project that is co-financed by COMPETE 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program - Collective Action Support System - Internationalization.

The Portuguese delegation had a very busy program, divided into two events, promoting the capacity of Portuguese companies, the LEA - ABIMOTA Testing Laboratory and, of course, Portugal as the destination of choice for American and South American investors.

The program began on August 22, with the Brasil Cycle Fair. “It is a business fair focused on the Brazilian market, ready to serve professionals from various areas of cycling and to consolidate itself as the largest corporate cycling business event in Latin America.” Explains Gil Nadais, Secretary-General of ABIMOTA.

On the 24th opened the tenth edition of Shimano Fest, the largest festival in the segment in Latin America, an event very focused on families, who find a place to experience experiences, with the bicycle as a “protagonist”.

“This trip is a very important step for the sector, as we are trying to approach a market with huge potential, a gateway to Mercosur, where Portugal can put all its experience and knowledge. We have cultural affinities and our own language, which puts us at the forefront in conquering new markets with great potential. ”The Secretary-General of ABIMOTA says.
